What If?

Millions of tons of plastic garbage pollute our world every year. What if we could turn them into fuel instead?

Millions of tons of plastic garbage pollute our world every year.
What if we can clean up the entire planet by turning our plastic waste back into its original usable petroleum form.

Fuelture technique involves breaking down the plastic to a molecular level to turn it into a readily usable fuel similar to diesel. There are multiple different types of plastic that can be used in the process such as #2 high-density polyethylene (HDPE), #4 low-density polyethylene (LDPE), and #5 polypropylene (PP). Polyethylene is the most common type of plastic that is consumed around the world, making it an ideal option for Fuelture to obtain.

WHY
WHY
The World is making 389 million metric tons of plastic waste in 2023 Alone

By 2040, the amount of plastic waste generation worldwide projects to triple, surpassing one billion metric tons. With so much plastic waste generated, proper waste management is urgently needed to reduce environmental impact and currently less than 10% of plastic waste worldwide is recycled, with projections showing that landfilling will continue to be the main disposal method worldwide. Much of the plastic waste generated in the coming decades will be caused by single use packaging. We will fix this as the majority of packaging is HDPE and can be used in our process.

HOW
HOW
Advanced Chemical Recycling

Pyrolysis (better known as Advanced Chemical Recycling) has the potential to be an environmentally friendly way to convert plastic waste into valuable products, such as oil, and can help reduce the environmental impact of plastic disposal. The technology has improved over the last 20 years to make it a financially viable option.

Fuelture’s Advanced Chemical Recycling is a thermal decomposition process that breaks down organic materials, including plastics, into smaller hydrocarbon molecules when heated in the absence of oxygen. This process can yield various products, including oil, gas, and char.

Local to Global effort

Currently every municipality collects plastic as part of their residential and commercial services. Eventually, Fuelture’s efforts to rid plastic from local ecosystems will create a Global blueprint. To get there, we must build working relationships with local municipalities to deliver plastics to our Advanced Chemical Recycling plants where that harmful waste is processed back to it’s original form – petroleum.
